• Royal Enfield Woodsman

Unveiled at the 2009 NEC Bike Show this November, the Woodsman EFI is the latest UK-designed variant of Royal Enfield's Bullet to be powered by the new fuel-injected unit construction engine and is new for 2010. Like the original Woodsman, which was produced by Royal Enfield between 1955 and 1999 and sold in the USA under the Indian brand, it is a 499cc Bullet single with high bars and a raised exhaust. However, there the similarities end, because the new Woodsman also featuresd a solo seat, handy mini luggage rack, rear set footrests and an alloy bash plate too.

Routed around the machine’s left side (standard exhausts run along the right side) the high level system is lighter than the original part and has been re-engineered to work in harmony with the engine management unit, allowing the engine to breathe more freely and creating the classic 'British single' exhaust note.

Producing motorcycles and riding apparel since 1899 and 1926 respectively, both Royal Enfield and Lewis Leathers hold a unique place in motorcycling history. To celebrate the latest development of the legendary 500cc Bullet, Royal Enfield and Lewis Leathers have joined forces to create the limited edition Lewis Leathers limited edition Bullet Classic 500.

From an idea conceived by vintage style aficionado Nick Clements, (www.nickclements.co.uk), of the Royal College of Art (London), the Lewis Leathers Bullet is based on the 2009-model Bullet Classic motorcycle that is powered by the company’s new fuel-injected 500cc single cylinder engine.

Featuring a special paint scheme and graphics, plus two-tone solo leather seat and Lewis Leathers embossed panniers, production is limited to just 50 machines, all of which will be individually numbered. Performance is given a boost with the addition of an upswept sports silencer.

The release of Royal Enfield Lewis Leathers Bullet Classic special coincides with a limited run of Lewis Leathers dedicated to the Royal Enfield marque.
